The Color Accounting™ learning system
The Color Accounting learning system makes learning accounting rapid, enjoyable and easy.
Color Accounting treats accounting as a language learning it as a fun experience. By using diagrams, plain words, objects that you touch & hold, discussion with friends, and a very exact and deliberate sequence of discovery, you will understand accounting (and therefore finance and business) thoroughly. You'll grasp it in a way that you never could have dreamed you'd achieve in such a short time.
Color Accounting training events typically range in length from two hours to a day and can be made longer with application modules such as financial analysis or budgeting. They are fun, but they are not a 'business game'. Neither are they business simulations, with their focus on real world scenarios. Color Accounting creates a logical construct of how accounting and business works.
In the photo above you can see a participant using her major learning senses as she discusses with her colleagues where the effects of a real business transaction go. A business decision was made and that impacts immediately upon the financial information. The training events are designed and run so that everybody gets the learning they came for. And most importantly, learners can apply their learning immediately when they return to their jobs.
A note on "unlearning"
An important part of any Color Accounting training event is the focus on 'unlearning'. Just like driving a car, in accounting many people pick up bad habits informally along the way. Letting go of these bad habits is often harder than learning new ideas. And left unaddressed learned misconceptions seriously interfere with learning. An example in accounting is that many people think that cash and income are the same thing. (They're not!) By being conscious of what learners need to unlearn as well as learn anew, accredited Color Accounting Trainers clear the way rapidly for breakthrough understanding.
