Footprints In The Sand ®

One of the greatest challenges before us all is the widening gulf between those with access to economic resources and those without. Those "with" have tried over the years and with varying degrees of sincerity and compassion to provide some of those resources, usually in the form of crisis aid, to those "without". It is an imperfect squeaky-wheel response and inequalities and unfairness grow. An unsustainable dependency is created which reduces and diminishes. Imagine a world where the language of money and wealth creation is accessible to all: for language is power (Mandaway Yunipingu) and education can change the world (Nelson Mandela). A world where those "without" use their new language to stand tall, enjoin and participate; where resources received are nurtured and grown, slowly and surely recovering the capacity to create and rebuild; lives and communities and regions and even countries. The bubbles will rise. We have to start somewhere: we bring the language. So far we have achieved mere whispers in a vast desert silence; but whispers of hope and possibility.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND ® "Where does all the money go?"

Essence:
Understanding the money story in a grant-funded organization. Because every dollar counts.

Overview:
This workshop is designed specifically for key members of community-based organizations that receive, spend and report on grant funding. These people may be paid employees or volunteers but are likely to need increased financial literacy so they can feel confident and comfortable in asking questions and making important decisions. This workshop is culturally suitable for indigenous peoples.

Please refer to the Workshop Blueprint for the detailed specifications of this workshop. You can find it in the left hand menu under Resources/Downloads together with the brochure and some participant testimonials.

Also, have a look at the MoneyTalk mini-movie available under Resources/Video which shows indigenous people giving feedback about the workshop.
