MoneyTalk™
"One of the greatest challenges before us all is the widening gulf between those with access to economic resources and those without. Some of those 'with' have tried over the years and with varying degrees of sincerity and compassion to provide some of those resources, usually in the form of crisis aid, to those 'without'. It is an imperfect squeaky-wheel response and inequalities and unfairness grow. An unsustainable dependency is created which reduces and diminishes. Imagine a world where the language of money and wealth creation is accessible to all: "for language is power" (Mandaway Yunipingu) and "education can change the world" (Nelson Mandela). A world where those previously 'without' use their new language to stand tall, enjoin and participate; where resources received are nurtured and grown, slowly and surely recovering the capacity to create and rebuild; lives and communities and regions and even countries. The bubbles will rise. We have to start somewhere: we bring the language. So far we have achieved mere whispers in a vast desert silence; but whispers of hope and possibility." Mark Robilliard, 2008
MoneyTalk Program
Essence: The story of money: getting it, keeping it, growing it.
Overview: MoneyTalk is a series of workshops designed to support and enrich indigeneous people involved in community businesses and who wish to transform their business from passive dependence into one that is active, independent and future-focussed.
MoneyTalk is very popular because it has been specially designed to be enjoyable and effective in your environment. It uses our popular Colour Accounting® learning system which people all over the world rave about.
Your MoneyTalk program will be flexible to suit your financial literacy needs. We start with Colour Accounting® and then in later workshops add the specific topics that you want to address (see below). And of course we can use your organisation’s financial information and story in each workshop so that it stays real for the participants all the way.
